World Bank Managers in Transition
World Bank Managers in Transition Program provides senior level World Bank managers who are between two major assignments two-week “mini-sabbaticals” to explore and enhance leadership, technical, and client engagement skills through interaction with faculty, students and professionals. The program, a collaboration with the Duke Center for International Development, also helps managers identify, capture and learn from their successes to overcome barriers to further success.
The program has three goals:
1) create opportunities for World Bank Fellows to further prepare for their upcoming assignment;
2) provide a forum for sharing with others what they learned in their prior assignment; and
3) capture and illustrate in a success case study core elements for successful assignment transitions for use by others within the World Bank.
